A Fright of Sight and Mistakes

Writer, Age 13

A Fright of Sight
This night before sleep, You get curled. You’re scared to walk alone, In this world. You’re scared to eat food each night. You’re scared to get beat in your own fight. You’re scared about what you got, And what you got, You might not want. You’re scared to lose, What you gave. And that body, That you can always clave. All is that, And that is true. The thing you’re scared about, Is being you.

He tells you he loves you, You say you love him too. But, when he tells you he loves you, Is it really true? He wants to go farther. Though you don’t know what to do. But, do you really want to? Well, it's all up to you. You let him in, And it became very hard. Maybe you weren’t, What other people thought. Next day he leaves you, You knew it was all your fault. Maybe next time, You’ll be a little more smart.
