Frosty Watermelon Slush

Frosty Watermelon Slush

How long does it take?

10 minutes to make (must freeze watermelon overnight)

What's in it?

2 slices watermelon, cubed (2 cups)
3 ice cubes
1 teaspoon lime juice

How to make it:

Place watermelon cubes into a freezer bag. Freeze thoroughly (overnight). Once the watermelon is frozen, place ice cubes into a blender. Sprinkle the lime juice over the ice. Pulse the blender by either pressing the "pulse" button, or by gently pressing and then releasing the on/off switch. Once the ice looks shaved, add the watermelon and pulse several more times. Dish the slush into a bowl and eat before it melts!

What's in it for you?

Watermelon is super packed with the antioxidant vitamins A and C. These vitamins have a special talent: they do repair work both inside and outside of the body, making cuts heal quickly and keeping skin and organs healthy.

Do you know that more than half of your body is water? On hot days, adding ice to recipes, and drinking plenty of water will help keep you cool and energized.

Chef's tip:

When using a blender, always turn the blender off before putting a spoon or your hand near the blades.
